ALACAT is the Federation of National Associations of Cargo Agencies and International Logistics Operators of Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded on June 12th, 1982. Conceived with the intention of achieving objectives and purposes such as; the hierarchy of the activities of the Cargo Agents and the international logistic operators, the defense of the rights and interests of its associates in the framework of the strictest business ethics and strict compliance with the legislation in force. The common interest of its founders for the development of the international burden, especially in the area covered by the Federation, in collaboration with national and international institutions for the improvement of transport and in the improvement of its infrastructure. To fight for the facilitation of logistic processes, secure commerce and the development of management systems that support operations through increasingly developed and reliable electronic systems. The training of the employed personnel and the generation of new professionals has been and will continue to be a constant maxim of work and common interest. The central objectives of our activity are the reliability of our processes for exporters and importers and control authorities in an area of increasing competitiveness that ensure the productivity of our companies, allowing us to improve trade day by day, we are aware of this challenge.
