ALACAT and CEL strengthen Logistics between Spain and Latin America

The signing of this agreement, which took place on the morning of September 25, marks a milestone in the cooperation between two of the most influential organizations in their respective regions. The Spanish Logistics Center, the reference association in Spain in the field of logistics and the supply chain, and ALACAT, the federation that brings together associations of shippers and international logistics companies in Latin America and the Caribbean, join forces to promote and disseminate training in logistics and transportation, carry out joint research to boost logistics development and encourage meetings and forums that stimulate the growth of logistics activity in both geographical areas.

The signing of this agreement, which was also attended by Fernando Romero, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Economy, Employment, Commerce, Tourism and Energy Transition of the Coslada City Council, represents a significant step forward in the creation of synergies between two key geographical regions in the logistics field. Both organizations are committed to fostering international collaboration and strengthening the competitiveness of their respective sectors.

Ana González, president of the Spanish Logistics Center, has expressed her commitment to this collaboration, stating: “The cooperation between ALACAT and CEL is a crucial step to consolidate the relationship between logistics companies and their professionals in Latin America and Spain. We hope that this alliance will contribute to the sustainable growth of our sectors and foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge”.

Moisés Solís, president of ALACAT, commented: “From ALACAT, we are pleased to consolidate this privileged agreement with the dean association of logistics and transport. In this way, we continue to strengthen the approach to Spain to exchange best practices and knowledge between members of both organizations, as well as to promote synergies between strategic regions”.

This collaboration agreement between the Spanish Logistics Center and ALACAT lays the foundations for a solid and fruitful collaboration that will benefit both regions, strengthening logistics and transportation in Spain and Latin America.

In addition, during this meeting, a visit was made to the Dry Port of Coslada and later to the Gamelabsnet Madrid room, a space where training and education in immersive technologies and digital solutions are promoted through the GAMELabsNET project. This program facilitates the development of profiles specialized in immersive technologies and provides training for management profiles, thus enabling the identification of business opportunities in the application of these technologies in the logistics and transportation field. In addition, companies can also use Gamelabsnet Madrid to test operations and explore how these technologies can make their logistics processes more efficient.
